1. San Sebastián de La Gomera
The capital of the island is a must on your holiday in La Gomera. This villa has a nice old town and some tourist attractions such as:
Torre del Conde: a building that served to guard the coast and that, during the Rebellion of Los Gomeros, served as a refuge for the Castilian lords.

3. Vallehermoso
Vallehermoso is, by extension, the second largest municipality on the island. From this municipality that extends from north to south we recommend:
The Chipude Fortress: a geological structure of great size and value in which pre-Hispanic archaeological remains have been found.
Castillo del Mar: this construction, which is now in disuse, resembles a castle and was an old davit that was used to load bananas on boats.
Mirador de Igualero: located next to the San Francisco Hermitage, it is a quiet viewpoint from which you can admire the natural beauty of this area. Here we can also find the monument to the whistle gomero.
La Encantadora: this dam is surrounded by Canary palm trees, is an environment of great natural beauty and has a table area to eat and rest.
4. Alajeró
Alajeró is located south of the island. In this municipality is the small airport of the island. On the coast of Alajeró is Playa de Santiago, a town located next to one of the best beaches on the island.
Already in the interior of the municipality you can visit the Drago de Agalan, this endemic specimen of species is the oldest drago on the island. The dragos are a symbol of the Canaries and this has great value for La Gomera..
También recomendamos visitar la Ermita de San Isidro, una ermita de pequeño tamaño, situada en un lugar con vistas privilegiadas y a la cual se llega subiendo por un sendero con cierto desnivel. Además, otra ermita recomendable es la Ermita del Buen Paso en el barrio de Arguayoda.
5. Hermigua
Hermigua es otro de los municipios de la isla, ubicado más al sur de Agulo. Nuestra recomendación es pasear por el barrio de San Pedro y visitar el convento del mismo nombre. En Hermigua se encuentran también los Roques de Pedro y Petra.
En la costa del valle, uno de los puntos emblemáticos del municipio es la Piscina de Hermigua. Esta piscina se encuentra junto a cuatro grandes columnas que se adentran hacia el mar y que son los restos del antiguo pescante desde el cual se exportaban tomates y plátanos.
6. Agulo
Agulo es un pintoresco pueblo situado en el noreste de La Gomera con un atractivo casco histórico que aconsejamos recorrer. Es considerado uno de los pueblos más bonitos de la isla y este año fue declarado por “The Times” como el pueblo más bonito de España.
A tan sólo 10 minutos de esta localidad se encuentra el Mirador de Abrante, único en Canarias, ya que es una plataforma acristalada que sobresale siete metros sobre el valle de Agulo.
7. Parque Nacional de Garajonay
Además de los 6 municipios, la joya de la corona de la Gomera es el Parque Nacional de Garajonay.
Garajonay es uno de los cuatro Parques Nacionales de las Islas Canarias y ha sido declarado como Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Es un bosque de Laurisilva que se extiende por varios municipios de la isla. Su tamaño es de casi 4000 hectáreas y, dentro del parque, más allá de los senderos y los bosques, también se esconden otros secretos que merece la pena ver:
La Laguna Grande: un claro en el bosque de Laurisilva que en la actualidad se usa como área recreativa. No obstante, se dice que aquí se realizaban rituales nocturnos. Es parte del municipio de Vallehermoso.
Alto de Garajonay: se trata del punto más elevado de la isla y en él se encuentra un yacimiento arqueológico de gran valor. Desde aquí se puede observar en días despejados Tenerife, La Palma, El Hierro e incluso Gran Canaria. Es parte del municipio de Vallehermoso.
Los Roques: se trata de una agrupación de bloques magmáticos que han quedado expuestos después de que se erosionase el material que los rodeaba. Hay varios miradores que permiten verlos desde diferentes ángulos. Se encuentran en la frontera entre San Sebastián de La Gomera y Hermigua.
Chorros de Epina: situado en la parte alta de esta población, se trata de una fuente manantial con siete cañamos que, según las leyendas, tienen poderes curativos y pueden augurar tu futuro amoroso.
El Cedro: es un caserío situado en un pequeño valle, rodeado de árboles y con casas de estilo tradicional.
